MakeIT18 Conference - CALL FOR PAPERS INVITATION
The year 2018 brings some changes in the naming of our two conferences, SIOUG and JavaSi. From now on, both conferences will be known by one single name - MakeIT. By doing that, the main conference will cover a broader range of topics, with an overview of current trends in Oracle and Java technologies, ranging from on premises solutions and solutions in the Cloud.
MakeIT18 is a 2-day conference and will take place from October 15 to October 16, 2018 in the congress centre Portus in Portorose. We expect at least 300 attendees.
If you’d like to share your experience or good practices with others, we invite you to submit your presentation. That way you’ll help make the conference an interesting and useful experience for DBAs, developers, end users and decision makers.
The MakeIT18 conference will cover the following topics:
- Database Development
- Big Data & AI,
- Cloud, Containers, Platform and Infrastructure
- Business Analytics.
- Deadline for abstract submission: Friday, June 15, 2018
- Notifications for accepted and declined submissions will be send on Friday, July 6, 2018.
Presentations format and length
Presentation slots have a length of 45 minutes. There’s also an option of slot of 90 minutes, should you require it.
Submitting the abstracts
You can submit your abstract here, where you’ll have to specify:
- presentation title
- short abstract (max 1000 characters)
- desired presentation length
- target audience
- short BIO
- your photo (200x200px)
Benefits and obligations for presenters
In case your presentation is selected, you’re required to:
- prepare the presentation in PPT or PDF format
- deliver the presentation in the established conference schedule.
Presenters, which will be chosen to present at the conference, have free admission to the conference. The free admission is valid for the main/first presenter (in case there’s more than one), is non-transferable and doesn’t include travel and accommodation expenses.
